Prescribing medication and re-examination information
You may obtain relevant veterinary medicinal products from your veterinary surgeon OR ask for a written prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy. You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be prescribed for your animal.
Written prescriptions are available from this practice – please give one day’s notice. A written prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary. Please note that there is a charge for making out a written prescription.
Your veterinary surgeon may give out or prescribe relevant veterinary medicinal products only following a clinical assessment of an animal under their care.
The general policy of this practice is to re-assess an animal has a chronic condition and requires repeat written prescriptions every 3 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances. Please note that there is a charge for a re-examination.
Further information on the prices of medicines is available on request.
