VETERINARY SURGEON

James Rutter

BVSc, MRCVS, OV, PGCertSAS Veterinary Surgeon

I have over 20 years of veterinary experience with cats, dogs, ‘small furries’ and exotics. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (Distinction) and regularly undertake advanced surgeries, including TTAs and BOAS surgeries. In my spare time, I like to spend in the mountains or in/on the sea – hiking, kayaking or swimming.

Alperen Gumuskuyruk

I completed my veterinary degree in Turkey. Together with my wife, who is also a veterinary surgeon, I ran my own small animal veterinary practice before relocating to the UK in 2023. I am enrolled on the BSAVA Postgraduate Certificate for Small Animal Surgery. I am a fan of the cooler weather in the UK, and my family and I enjoy exploring Anglesey, and all that it can offer.

Mert Yoruklerli

I graduated from Istanbul University in 2022 and moved to the UK in 2024 to develop my veterinary expertise even further. I particularly enjoy emergency medicine and imaging. I am half way through the BSAVA Postgraduate Certificate on Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging (i.e. ultrasonography and X-radiography). On my days off, you will find me outdoors, exploring Anglesey and Snowdonia. And wherever I travel, my guitar and camera come with me!

Emine Yildiz

DVM, PhD, MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated as a veterinary surgeon in Turkey and have a PhD in Veterinary Surgery, with a particular interest in small animal surgery. I have also undertaken postgraduate training in ultrasonography and ophthalmology.

More recently, I completed a Master’s degree in Zoonosis and One Health at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain. I am very excited to return to first-opinion practice and continue developing my clinical skills, particularly in small animal surgery, imaging and medicine.

Outside work, I enjoy hiking, swimming and travelling to different countries. I also love learning new languages and discovering new cultures with my daughter. I am looking forward to exploring Anglesey and everything it has to offer.

Anya Williams

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from Aberystwyth University / Royal Veterinary College in 2026. Having grown up in North Wales, I am delighted to be back home and starting my veterinary career in the area. As a Welsh speaker, I am also pleased to be able to offer consultations in Welsh. I look forward to meeting clients and caring for their companions.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time exploring the beautiful North Wales countryside, with my chocolate Labrador, Koda, right by my side. At home, I also have a cat and a couple of chinchillas who keep me busy!

Ashleigh Roberts

Practice Manager

I am the Practice Manager at the practice. However, I joined the practice many years ago as a veterinary nurse and developed a keen interest in radiography, which I continue to keep up. I enjoy spending time with my cats and tending to my tarantulas during my downtime.

Lauren Hawkins

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

I simply adore working with animals and became a qualified veterinary nurse in 2024. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I particularly enjoy assisting in surgery. Outside the practice you can find me playing rugby, or walking my two dogs on one of the many beautiful beaches on Anglesey.

Lauryn Williams

Student Nurse

I gained a degree in Zoology from Liverpool John Moores University in 2021. I worked as a patient care assistant at a veterinary practice in Liverpool before returning home to Anglesey. I have a fondness for staffies, with my own at home who keeps me busy in my spare time. In 2024 I embarked upon the veterinary nursing degree and hope to be a fully qualified nurse by 2027 at the latest.

Dawid Suszycki

Nursing Assistant

I grew up on a farm and have been around animals all my life. For several years I worked as a Chef in the hospitality industry, but always wanted to return to working with animals. In 2024 I embarked on a assistant veterinary nurse training course which I absolutely loved. Now, I am hoping to begin my studies to become a fully qualified veterinary nurse and can’t believe how lucky I am to have made the switch into the veterinary profession.

Aaliyah Logan

I have always been wanting to work with animals. After having first completed an Animal Management course at College, I am now training to become a veterinary nursing assistant. There is lots to learn, but I am enjoying my course and gaining more experience every day!

Freya Preston

I always knew I wanted to work with animals, even though my path into this profession took a few detours. I am now attending an amazing course studying to be a Veterinary Nursing Assistant and while I am nervous, I’m also real excited to embark on this journey and can’t wait to take the next steps.
